Thin and Big Concept

Friday has arrived. PoBoy is jumping up and down. Friday Yipee! 8 hours to go go before the weekend.

Thursday was not too bad a day. Work was the pits but at home it was better -- more costly too.

PoBoy had written to a person from the classifieds about a laptop computer. Well would you believe one contacted PoBoy. In fact husband and wife came over to show me how the laptop worked. It's two years old but a fine machine and so small compared to the desktop PoBoy uses. Yep the Laptop ran and PoBoy was completely amazed. Oh! It's a Gateway.

PoBoy couldn't believe anything so thin could do so much in fact it does even more then my older desktop machine. For example it plays music on CD's and DVD's yep movies. It will let you type in a coffee shop if there is a wireless connection turned on. You don't need to plug phone lines into it. All built in. You can save material onto this little thing that looks like a thumb. Unbelievable. Why if you want to you can plug in your standard mouse and keyboard and use just like your desktop. Fantastic!

PoBoy held his wallet out in front him -- yep it weighed less too. He's spent half his first social security retirement check. This must be what they say is a "buyer's" binge that he is on. Slow down PoBoy stretch the dollars.

Doggie's sniffed PoBoy all over when he got home from visiting the couple who was selling the Laptop. PoBoy didn't realize that in order to make the little, slim laptop work you needed a router on your cable box. They thought they had an extra one. No luck though as PoBoy will have to purchase one from Walmart. However, the "hubby" will come and hook it up for him.

While at their house, PoBoy meant "Sugar" She's a German Shepard and when she puts her paws on you she's almost as tall as him. Anyway she's sweet tempered and like PoBoy's Sissy all she wanted to do was be petted and give kisses

Also my youngest son called. PoBoy had told him they couldn't go to Florida as he had planned at the beginning of the year. He understood, but you could hear or perhaps sense his disappointment. But he will make it down to see PoBoy one of these days. Oh! Did PoBoy tell you that his youngest son is getting married. Yep, he is. Not sure of date yet but he is going to plunge into life with a wife. Congratulations son. Just as an aside, the son and "gf" have two boys already -- PoBoy's grandsons.
