Depression or Reality

PoBoy are you home yet? Yes he is. He's home for the weekend. PoBoy stopped at Walmart and bought a router for his new-used laptop. If the person he bought it from keeps their word, he'll have a wireless connection for the laptop tomorrow - Saturday. He also picked up a 2 gig mini flash drive.

Oh and also got a note from Uncle Sam saying PoBoy has an electronic stimulus check coming on the 16th. Guess what? No check. Guess they changed their mind but that is to be expected. When PoBoy did his income tax, the lady wrote down the wrong electronic routing numbers, so the expected bank arrival of tax return ended up being mailed a month or so later then expected. Guess PoBoy will receive his stimulus check by mail in 4 to 6 weeks.

"Don't ever count your chickens til they're hatched PoBoy." PoBoy's mother taught him that among a thousand other things a very long time ago.

Well its Saturday night. The party that was suppose to arrive to set up the pieces of the new-used laptop emailed him to let him know they had come down with the "flu." Needless to say PoBoy was disappointed but there is still another day. All PoBoy has to do is live to see it.

Not much happening on Saturday's when you have reached a certain age. PoBoy slept a few hours in the afternoon. He messed around with his desktop pc and before he new it, the time had arrived for bed.

One thing did occur that is noteworthy. About 4 o'clock in the afternoon a cold front blew through. The weather station showed how the temperatures behind it were about 10 degrees colder then was the current temperature at that time. Forecast for the week, tomorrow, Sunday high 55, low 39 and rain. In fact, rain for the next three days. First sign of 70's again is next Saturday.

Well it looks like PoBoy will be chilled the rest of the week but maybe next weekend, a long one, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, will be better. PoBoy, these days, is not feeling very lively. Days just pass. Life just passes. Hold on PoBoy, you only have 152 days until you can sit back and say you made it. And then the journey south in 167 days. Where has the time gone, PoBoy wonders.
